My father proposed to my mother 35 years ago today. I was looking through some family photos a few months ago and found this gem from their engagement days. They've been through a lot together -- working, raising children, battling my father's cancer together -- and they did it all with a grace and determination I've always admired. 
It's safe to say I've learned everything I know about love from them...what did your parents teach you about love, friends? xoxo
