I'd love to know, friends: What does feminism mean to you? There are so many different meanings attached to that one word. But perhaps even more controversial over the years has been the debate on who exactly qualifies as a feminist. In a recent interview with Glamour magazine, everyone's favorite funny girl Zooey Deschanel described what feminism means to her...

I’m just being myself. There is not an ounce of me that believes any of that crap that they say. We can’t be feminine and be feminists and be successful? I want to be a f--king feminist and wear a f--king Peter Pan collar. So f--king what?

I've always loved Deschanel's refreshing honesty, and there is so much truth in her quote. Yes, a woman can be a bow-and-glitter loving girly girl and still be a feminist. The two aren't mutually exclusive. The way I see it, it's all about how you carry yourself.

What do you think, friends? Let's chat! xoxo

P.S. I'm loving Deschanel's site HelloGiggles too! :)
