Peek Inside: My classic Target trips

One of the things I've come to love about the freelance life over the last few years is the freedom to make my own schedule. For example, if I want to stay up a little later one night to work on a post, I don't have to worry about getting up super early the next morning. And, if I get most of my work done in the morning, I can take a longer lunch and watch Dr. Phil (more on my love affair with Dr. Phil later...) in the afternoon. Another perk? I can enjoy a nice, relaxing shopping trip in the middle of the week. I'm one of those people who likes to browse for hours and not be rushed -- are you the same way?? -- so I've developed quite the routine over the years. Take a peek, if you'd like...
My haunts have always been the same and always in the same order. I'd start off at Barnes and Noble, my all-time favorite bookstore. My eyes dart right to the magazine section, where I'd look up and down every aisle. Full disclosure: I'd usually end up with at least a few (OK, more like seven...) magazine in my basket...

All that magazine shopping usually made me quite hungry, so I'd stop off for a little pizza and soda pop. My favorite? Pepperoni, of course! My soda pop of choice? Mountain Dew (but don't tell Barq's!)...

Once I was fully fortified again, I could continue on my journey. My next -- and final -- stop was (you guessed it!) Target. I ask you, is there anything more heavenly than that classic Target smell. It envelopes you into its web of seduction at every turn -- the CDs, the school supplies, the straw hats! It's all so intoxicating, isn't it?
Ahhh, what good times I have...which reminds me, I'm due for another little trip soon. Anyone want to tag along with me? xoxo
